About NabeStats.com

We're on a mission to make neighborhood research simple, trustworthy, and accessible to everyone.

Our Mission

Moving to a new area is one of life's biggest decisions. Yet finding reliable, comprehensive information about neighborhoods has been fragmented across dozens of websites and government databases. We're changing that.

NabeStats.com aggregates data from trusted government and public sources to give you a complete picture of any neighborhood in the United States — all in one place, all in plain English.

What We Do

Data Aggregation

We pull data from over 15 government and public sources including the FBI UCR with national averages, Census Bureau, EPA, Google Places API, INRIX Parking API, Walk Score, and other trusted providers to create comprehensive neighborhood profiles with consistent, reliable data.

Human-Centered Design

We translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. No jargon, no confusion — just the information you need to make informed decisions about where to live.

National Coverage

From major cities to small towns, we cover every neighborhood in the United States. Our data spans all 50 states and territories.

Local Intelligence

We combine national datasets with deterministic trend generation and real-time API data to provide the most accurate and consistent information for each specific area, ensuring reliable results across page refreshes. Our rating systems provide clear benchmarks against national averages for safety, housing, mobility, and other key factors.

Our Values

T

Transparency

Every data point includes source attribution and methodology notes. We believe in building trust through complete transparency about our data sources and methods.

A

Accuracy

We use only official government sources and reputable public data providers. We clearly indicate data coverage levels and any limitations.

C

Comprehensiveness

We cover all the factors that matter when choosing a neighborhood: safety, schools, demographics, environment, housing, mobility, recreation, and dining & entertainment.

A

Accessibility

We make complex data accessible to everyone. No technical background required — just clear, actionable insights in plain English.

Our Commitment to Data Ethics

We believe in using data responsibly and ethically. We avoid creating or reinforcing harmful biases, and we're committed to privacy and accuracy in all our work.

Our crime data analysis focuses on neighborhood-level trends with national average comparisons rather than street-level details to prevent harm and bias. We always show rates per capita rather than raw counts to ensure fair comparisons, and use deterministic trend generation for consistent results.

Our recreation and dining data comes from public venue information and is aggregated at the neighborhood level to provide useful insights without compromising individual privacy or business competitiveness.

We don't store personal information and only cache location coordinates rounded to appropriate precision for analytics purposes. All API data is processed in real-time with appropriate caching for performance.
